One of my favorite parts about having so many friends get married over the past couple of years are all of the showers and parties that I've gotten to help with! I take tons of pictures at each event (shocker), but forget to do anything with them. I'm working on compiling and curating the photos from each shower and posting over the next few weeks. If you too are in the trenches of wedding season, I'm hoping these posts will help with ideas or inspiration for your next shower!
I've done several fiesta themed parties (mainly because they're fun and simple), and this one is actually Kirsten and Chase's from last July. We hosted 70+ of their closest friends (they are loved!) on the rooftop of 21st Amendment in Fayetteville. It was a HOT night, but so. much. fun.
More to come soon!
Weddings sometimes get a bad rap for being over the top and materialistic, more about entertaining the guests than the couple getting married. However, I attended a couple different ceremonies and receptions this weekend and was reminded of why I love weddings so much. There is something really cool about celebrating the start of someone's marriage. The couple is allowing you to be a part of a day that sets the stage for the rest of their lives. To me a wedding celebration isn't so much about what it took to get there, but about where the relationship is headed from that point on. Both weddings I went to this weekend were full of joy, and I have no doubt the marriages to come will be god-centered and loving! I also love how weddings bring eclectic mixes of people together. It's cool to observe how different people have had impacts on the couples' lives. Here are a few snapshots from this weekend.. More wedding adventures to come throughout the summer!
